Why do we want to make money?

This is perhaps not as stupid a question as it sounds.

Everyone wants to make more money than they already do. For some reason the idea of becoming rich is something that almost without exception people want.

But why? Is it really about making money or is it about having the freedom to live your life the way you want, without having to worry about pleasing your boss and playing the crazy game of office politics.

Whatever your motivation, you really need to have a reason – The answer for me is simple.

I want to live anywhere I choose (most likely near by my kids!) and never have to worry about working for someone for as long as I live. It’s freedom for me – that’s why I want to make £10k per month of passive income
